Coco Blanca

Coco Blanca is a boutique based in Maryland that required an online store to reach out to customers across the United States. The site was largely built when I joined the project, but certain aspects of the e-commerce module Ubercart still required work, together with the custom theme. The site was built using Drupal 6 and integrates with Constant Contact for e-mailing customers, Authorize.Net for credit card transactions, and UPS for shipping.

Council of Forensic Science Educators

The Council of Forensic Educators approached me to build a site to improve communication with their members. They had a limited budget and tight timeframe, so we modified the Marinelli theme to match the color scheme and slightly altered the layout of the logo and search box.

The main requirement for the site administrators was to easily update the site content and CKEditor was used with roles providing tiered access and tools according to permission level.

An events calendar was provided with blocks on the homepage highlighting upcoming events and latest news articles.

Drupaldelphia 2013

Drupaldelphia is the annual Drupal camp for the Greater Philadelphia area, and organized by a group of volunteers. For the 2013 camp I helped out with the website putting in place the Commerce functionality, arranging the sessions, and creating a number of admin related views to help things run smoothly.  I also presented a session on Drush for beginners that you can download from the site. For the 2014 camp I'm the lead developer for the site and a member of the organizing committee.

Forensic Archaeology Recovery

Forensic Archaeology Recovery are a nonprofit dedicated to assisting the search and recovery of human remains. It is a membership based organization and they needed a website for processing membership payments, sending urgent communications, and managing the regional chapters.

This site was completed using Drupal 6 using Fusion as the base theme. Ubercart was used for processing membership payments, organic groups for managing the chapters, and mail 2 all for communication.

National Adoption Center

The National Adoption Center uses Drupal for their main web presence, but was using a proprietary system for handling inquiries from members of the public and professionals. As the proprietary system came to end of life I helped transition to a Drupal specific system of matching children with professionals and potential families.

Oceana

I initially worked with Oceana through a contract with Bluecadet assisting with a complete re-build and migration from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7. My role in the project centered around using the migrate module to transfer the content and converting the site to use entity translation to handle the various regions around the world. Since the completion of that project I have continued to offer ongoing support as an independent contractor.

Office of Cancer Genomics

Since 2014 I have worked as a government contractor assisting the Office of Cancer Genomics with their web presence. This has involved creating custom modules, re-designing the theme for mobile compatibility, providing ongoing support and providing training for members of staff.

Studycure

This was a project I completed as an independent contractor with Eight Eleven. The site was designed to allow users to create experiments based on an hypothesis and then measure their progress through regular updates. It makes extensive use of the rules module, organic groups, sms framework, apache solr, and a number of custom modules that glued everything together.

The Franklin Institute

The excellent people at Bluecadet re-designed the Franklin Institute website and asked me to help them with migrating content from the old site. For the migration I used the Feeds module and Xpath Parser to read an xml file and created the content in a custom content type. I also set up a regular import to display the show times for events that uses feeds, and a little custom coding with the Entity API, to schedule publishing of related nodes for movies.

Unitarian Universalist Community Church of Santa Monica

UUSM approached me after their previous developer left to take on another project. The site was partially completed, but there was still a large amount of content to migrate from the previous site. In addition the custom theme required work to clear up a number of errors. I used the FeedAPI module to handle the data migration from the old static html site, and then added functionality for managing events, streaming audio, and caching content for anonymous users.
